The thermocouple flame failure device works with the safety valve: while the flame burns normally, the thermocouple generates electromotive force that keeps the solenoid valve open; if the flame goes out accidentally, the electromotive force disappears and the valve automatically cuts off the gas supply, preventing gas leakage at the source.
